The Mount Zion A.M.E. Church’s Another Choice Year ‘Round Children’s Program was founded by Rev. Alfreda Griffin-Johnson in 2006 to provide an alternative to the larger after school programs and to address an urgent need for affordable child care. 

We provide service for children as young as ages 5 to 12. The fee is reasonable so that parents with a limited income will not have to compromise on quality and service.  The environment is clean, safe and convenient.

During the school year Mount Zion A.M.E. Church’s Another Choice Program specializes in providing each family with individualized child care service. 

• Assist children with their homework, enhance reading, writing and math skills and support positive study habits. 
• Operates five days per week and during most school holidays.  
• Children are picked up from their school and escorted to the program site by a member of the staff. 
• A nutritious hot meal is offered daily.
