At Another Choice Youth and Family Outreach Inc., we believe in driving social change through actionable initiatives. To this end, we are establishing the ACYFO Center for Solutions and Performance Space, a hub for artistic expression and community empowerment in East Harlem. This center will serve as a catalyst for tangible progress, addressing critical issues like poverty, mass incarceration, and the well-being of low-income communities.

The Black Box Community Theatre
A culturally sensitive, artist-led space designed to challenge mainstream media narratives. It will provide rental facilities for impactful projects and voices committed to dismantling stereotypes.

Strategic Partnering & Community Engagement Strategy

- Foster public safety through community-based interventions, offering free training and capacity-building tools to address social inequalities.
- Provide artistic literacy and capacity-building training for those involved in the justice system to reduce re-offending.
- Offer referral and direct opportunities for young adults and families vulnerable to the carceral system, liberating them from its grasp.
- Extend reentry resources, referral services, and social support for those returning from incarceration.
- Strengthen relationships with local organizations and East Harlem residents to build a more connected and empowered community.
- Establish a sustainable income stream by providing affordable theater, workshop, and conference space for local artists, advocates, and entrepreneurs.
